just waking up..

waiting for my buddy jarrad to get out of work and go check the surf down at the harbor..small swell hitting today.
in the mean time, i'm waiting for someone to bring my new longboard and shortboard out from TX..

when visiting home in december, my friends and i put on an art show at the house of rock in downtown corpus. was a great time. really good vibes. our good friend dustin doodoo threw down some mad sushi for the event. buddy scottyp spun sick tunes all night. killer artists such as micah, gabeyp, chris aeby, arianakatechis, dallasmcmahon, jonsteele, charlie, etc... filled the walls with canvas, photos, and random objects=ARTT...i premiered my movie "drafts2" documenting our new life in california through our drive for surfing, skating, and art..

heres some clippings from a recent jog south of the border. its such an easy trip from where i live. 45 minutes to the border. no hastle was had on the way in or out. wasnt the best swell, but fun either way.

its so good to get away from america some times. all the hustle and bustle. people going fast. yet often not going anywhere at all. even though we weren't even a half hour south of the border, once you cross into mexico. you feel it. its different.

its good to get away.
even if just for a day.
just for a moment.

came home and watched the sunset on the pacific. just beautiful. again.

hello blogging community.

to start off, my name is nathan floyd. I am from corpuschristi TX.  traveling is my favorite thing to do, yet i've only been to a few places. hawaii and mexico are the furthest i've had the chance to venture as of yet. but with friends living in newzealand, costa rica, etc...i intend to add several more stamps in my passport. we recently moved to southern california, and have an apartment one block off the ocean in carlsbad. its such a lovely place to live. conveniently located to downtown carlsbad, all the restaurants and stores are within a quick walk. the boardwalk is a perfect place to chill and watch the waves or sunsets. lower trestles and san O are just 20 miles away, and all the breaks south are super close as well..its a lovely place. this blog is going to be updated a few times a week with videos or pictures of the occurrences of our days. hope you enjoy. stay tuned.
